Value Exchange Grant up to $1,000 Competition Conditions of Entry

For the purposes of these Conditions of Entry, the Promoter is PricewaterhouseCoopers (ABN 52 780 433 757) of 201 Sussex Street, Sydney NSW 2000 (“PwC”).

The Promotion

The Promotion requires that the entrants submit a Value Exchange Idea. The winner of the Promotion will be selected by a panel of judges on the basis of strength of the proposed idea, the amount of value likely to be created, likelihood of the idea being successful, value for money, depth of community impact, originality, creativity and value creation for the theme nominated by the entrant.

The terms of the Promotion are set out in these Conditions of Entry.

How to enter

To enter, eligible individuals are required to submit a response on the www.creatingvalue.com.au website or the www.facebook.com/PwCAu Facebook application to the question “How will your idea create value in business or the wider community?” including the following fields:

  • Idea name
  • 140 character short description of the idea
  • 3,000 character detailed idea description
  • What you hope to achieve
  • How will this idea add value
  • Where the project is based
  • What you will spend the money on

All entrants will be required to provide their full name, email address and contact number, and submit the form online through one of the above websites.

All entrants release Facebook of any liability arising from or in connection with the Promotion and acknowledge that the Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by Facebook.

By entering the Promotion, individuals are providing information to the Promoter and not to Facebook.

Conditions

  1. Information on how to enter and the prize form part of these Conditions.
  2. Entry into this Promotion is deemed to be acceptance of these Conditions.
  3. Entry is open to Australian Permanent Residents and Australian Citizens who are over 18 years of age.
  4. Current employees and partners of the Promoter (including its controlled entities) and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
  5. Only one entry per entrant will be accepted (whether an individual or an organisation).
  6. All entries must be the original and unassisted work of the entrant.
  7. The Promotion commences at 09:00 AEDST on 20 April 2012 and closes at 17:00 AEDST on 30 September 2012.
  8. All valid entries will be submitted to the Promoter for judging. The validity of entries will be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. The judging will take place by a panel chosen by the Promoter, in its absolute discretion, at 201 Sussex Street Sydney NSW 2000 on a monthly basis commencing 30 April 2012.
  9. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be judged and up to thirty (30) winners of up to a $1000 grant will be chosen on the basis of their idea to create value in our community. The judges will use the following criteria when determining the winner: strength of the proposed idea, the amount of value likely to be created, likelihood of the idea being successful, value for money, depth of community impact, originality, creativity and value creation for the nominated theme. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter will take all reasonable steps to notify the winners by telephone and/or email. The name and locality of the winners will also be published on the www.creating value.com.au website. The Promoter will keep all applications for 24 months from 20 April 2012 but entries will not be returned to entrants.
  10. Prize: Up to 30 Value Exchange Idea winners will be awarded with a cash grant of up to AUD$1000 to invest in their Value Exchange Ideas in order to create value. Upon being notified of winning the Promotion, each winner will be required to provide their bank account details to the Promoter along with any other information required by the Promoter to award the prize.
  11. Each winner agrees that they will submit to the Promoter in either written, visual, video or audio form (as required by the Promoter) a report on how they have used their grant of up to $1,000 to create value within 3 months of the Prize being awarded which will be used by the promoter for promotional or marketing purposes. In providing such a report, each winner warrants that the content of the report does not infringe upon the copyright or any intellectual property rights of any third party. The Promoter may use any such material for promotional or marketing purposes, or any other purpose, in its absolute discretion.
  12. The Promoter reserves the right to pay any prize money in instalments in its absolute discretion.
  13. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries received after the closing time and date.
  14. The Promoter is not responsible for receipt of incomplete or ineligible entries. All such entries will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries. Any entry that does not comply with these terms and conditions will be invalid.
  15. The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity, age and residency. Any contact details entered incorrectly shall invalidate the entry at the discretion of the Promoter. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry, which is not in accordance with these Conditions.
  16. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from a winner accepting a prize. Independent financial advice should be sought.
  17. In the event that for any reason whatsoever the winner of a prize does not accept the prize, or any part thereof, at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize, or any part thereof, will be forfeited by the winner.
  18. In the event that the prize is not available despite the Promoter's reasonable endeavours to provide the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of the same or a similar nature.
  19. The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with accepting any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  20. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner (and companions) may be required to sign a legal release in a form to be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
  21. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion subject to any written directions from any relevant regulatory authority or government department.
  22. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information provided with respect to the Promotion, equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the Promotion, or technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of the Promotion including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet, software failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries and any injury or damage to any individual’s computer or computer relayed equipment in connection with or resulting from participating in the Promotion including but not limited to the downloading of any materials.
  23. If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to technical failures, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and, subject to any written directions given by any relevant regulatory authority or government department, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion.
  24. All entries become the property of the Promoter including their contents and all details given in entries. The Promoter may, in its absolute discretion use and/or exploit the information or details contained in the written submissions for whatever purposes it sees fit.
  25. The Promoter collects entrants' personal information in order to conduct the Promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the Promotion. By entering the Promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that the Promoter may use this information, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant, including sending the entrant electronic messages.
  26. All entrants may access, update or correct any information, or elect not to receive further marketing information from PwC, by writing to The National Privacy Office, PricewaterhouseCoopers, 201 Sussex Street, Sydney NSW 2000, or by emailing PwC at privacy.officer@au.pwc.com.   27. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting the Promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
  28. As part of its commitment to provide equal opportunity for people with a disability, the Promoter reserves the right to vary or waive any of the above Conditions to enable a person with a disability to participate in the Competition on such terms as it sees fit.

 


Value Exchange Grant up to $30,000 Competition Conditions of Entry

For the purposes of these Conditions of Entry, the Promoter is PricewaterhouseCoopers (ABN 52 780 433 757) of 201 Sussex Street, Sydney NSW 2000 (“PwC”).

How to enter

To enter, eligible individuals are required to register their details on creatingvalue.com.au, download a Value Exchange Grant Application pack, complete the Application pack according to instructions and submit the completed entry via email to valueau@au.pwc.com .

The application needs to be completed using the Application pack provided. We may regard your application as non-conforming if you do not adhere to this Application pack template.

Submitted documents should be in Microsoft Office or PDF formats and not include macros or executable files.

All entrants will be required to provide their full name, email address and contact number, and submit the application pack via email to valueau@au.pwc.com .

By entering the Promotion, individuals are providing information to the Promoter.

Conditions

From this group of finalists, the panel chosen by the Promoter will then select the final winner in their absolute discretion.
